Blindfold chess practice
Watch a knight make a series of moves, then replay them from memory. Every round adds one more move, and you have two lives.
How it works
- Watch the knight's route.
- Replay the same moves. A miss costs a life.
- Level 1 traces the route, Level 2 does not, and Level 3 gives you notation only.
- Your best is the longest sequence you recalled.
What it trains
Blindfold chess means holding a board in your head. Tracking a single knight through a growing sequence is a small, safe way to build that skill.
Questions
How do I start playing blindfold chess?
Begin with one piece and short sequences, as here, then add pieces. Learning coordinates first helps a lot.
What is notation only?
The route is shown as square names such as Nf3, so you have to picture the board yourself.
