Piece Pairs: chess memory cards
Flip the cards and match each piece on its square to the pattern of squares it attacks. A memory game that teaches how every piece covers the board.
How it works
- Every card is face down. Flip two at a time.
- Half the cards show a piece on a square; the others show the squares that piece attacks from there. Those two make a pair.
- A matching pair stays face up. Clear the grid against the clock.
- Your best time is saved for each level.
What it trains
It builds an automatic feel for the shape of each piece's reach, which is especially useful for beginners learning how the pieces move.
Questions
