Attack Sweeper: chess Minesweeper
Pieces are hidden on the board. Probe squares to see how many pieces attack each one, then work out where they are.
How it works
- Black pieces are hidden on the board, and you are told which ones.
- Probe a square. The number shows how many hidden pieces attack it. Your first probe is always safe.
- Switch to Mark and tap the squares where you think the pieces are. Mark them all correctly to win.
- Show solution reveals the pieces and every square's count.
What it trains
It trains the reverse of normal chess thinking: from attack counts back to piece positions. That sharpens how well you read which pieces cover which squares.
Questions
How is it like Minesweeper?
The numbers are counts of nearby hazards, and you use logic rather than guessing. Here the hazards are attacking pieces.
What if I get stuck?
Show solution reveals the pieces and every square's count, and ends the run without counting.
