Terms of Use

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These terms apply when you use KingClegg Chess (the “site”), run by KingClegg Technologies (“KingClegg”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who may use the site

Anyone may play the drills without an account. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account.

What is ours

KingClegg Chess, its drills and challenges, their design, rules variations and scoring, the software, text, graphics, layout, original piece artwork, sounds, the “KingClegg” name, logo and tagline (“Strategy. Precision. Mastery.”) and all other content on the site belong to KingClegg Technologies or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. © KingClegg Technologies. All rights reserved. KingClegg is a trademark of KingClegg Technologies.

The rules of chess, and classic puzzles that have been around for centuries, belong to everyone. What belongs to us is our own original work built around them. Some third-party artwork on the site (certain chess piece sets) is used under open licences; see About & credits. Those pieces remain the property of their authors and are used under their licence terms.

What you may do

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the site for your own chess training and enjoyment, including sharing your own results (for example with the Copy result button). You may link to the site.

What you may not do

Your content and feedback

Your best results and settings are yours. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you allow us to use them without obligation or payment.

Training only

The drills are for practice and entertainment. We do not promise that using the site will improve your rating or results.

The site is provided “as is”

We work hard to make the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Drills may contain errors, and the site may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time, including individual drills. Saved results can be lost, for example if you clear your browser data without an account.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, KingClegg is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law permits.

Ending access

You may stop using the site, and ask us to delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Lee County, Florida have jurisdiction over disputes, unless the law requires otherwise.

Copyright complaints and contact

If you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, or you have any question about these terms, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to find and assess it.
